Image MuseumAncient and contemporary art

Épinal’s image-making tradition dates back to the 18th century, and enjoyed its heyday in the 19th century. A museum had to be dedicated to him. The Musée de l’Image houses a rich collection of over 100,000 popular images printed in France and abroad between the 17th and 21st centuries. Ancient and contemporary works interact to provide an original view of our society. The museum also features works by contemporary artists and temporary exhibitions.
